Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar clashed with Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Derek O'Brien over wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s Paris Olympics disqualification.
O'Brien's shouting prompted Dhankhar to reprimand him harshly, accusing the Opposition of politicizing Phogat’s plight and disrespecting her.
Dhankhar warned O'Brien about the gravity of challenging Parliament's decorum and likened the situation to past emergency phases.
Following the altercation, the Opposition walked out of the session.
