Vinesh Phogat

Vinesh Phogat is an Indian politician and former wrestler from the state of Haryana. She is a multiple Commonwealth Games gold medalist, having won golds at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Games. After her last competition in the 2024 Paris Olympics, she retired from wrestling. In September 2024, Phogat joined the Indian National Congress, and became the party's candidate from the Julana constituency for the 2024 Haryana Legislative Assembly election.
