Arvind Kejriwal arrested by ED in excise policy case after raids at residence | Oneindia News
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with its probe into a money laundering case.
Kejriwal was arrested from his official residence hours after the Delhi High Court refused to pass any orders on his application for “no coercive action” by the ED against him in the excise policy case.
The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to grant Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal any protection from coercive action in an excise policy-linked money laundering case.
AAP leaders alleged that the action was taken to prevent the chief minister from moving the Supreme Court after the high court’s decision not to allow him interim relief from coercive action.
