On December 19, Colorado's Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump would be prohibited from being a candidate in the state's primary on constitutional grounds. .
NBC reports that the first-of-its kind decision
comes from a lawsuit focused on the
14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
A majority of the court holds
that President Trump is disqualified
from holding the office of President
under Section Three of the
Fourteenth Amendment of
the United States Constitution, Colorado Supreme Court ruling, via NBC.
Because he is disqualified, it would be
a wrongful act under the Election Code
for the Colorado Secretary of State
to list him as a candidate on

the 2024 presidential primary ballot, nor may
she count any write-in votes cast for him.".
