Assisted dying: What’s in the new bill?

Details of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, also known as the assisted dying bill, have been revealed.

The proposed legislation for England and Wales, brought by Labour MP Kim Leadbeater, specifies that adults wishing to end their own life must have less than six months to live, be mentally competent, and be physically able to take the prescribed medication themselves.

MPs will be asked to vote on the bill on 29th November.
