Man jailed for two years and six months after Blackpool riot

A man who assaulted an emergency worker during the riots in Blackpool has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison.

Roger Haywood, 41, pleaded guilty to the charge.

The judge said Haywood wanted "to create a serious, violent incident".
