1,300 extra police officers in London amid riot fears

The Metropolitan Police have an extra 1,300 public order officers ready to deploy across London today amid concerns of violence as far-right groups plan protests across the capital.

Police say they will be ready to deploy in addition to the thousands already working within the community, and have been training at a facility in Hendon, north London.
