Bangladesh Protests Turn Violent with Rubber Bullets, Tear Gas Amid Calls for Hasina's Resignation

At least 30 people were killed and 100 others injured on Sunday, August 4, 2024, as fresh clashes erupted in Bangladesh between protesters and supporters of the ruling Awami League.

The violence occurred on the outskirts of Dhaka, further intensifying the political turmoil in the South Asian country.

In response, the government ordered a nationwide shutdown of 4G internet services, citing concerns over law and order.

However, there has been no decision yet regarding the status of broadband services.
