Two consecutive earthquakes struck Afghanistan on Wednesday, sending shockwaves through the region.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the first earthquake, measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, hit at 12:28 am local time, located 100 km east of Fayzabad.
