South China Sea rumble: China, Philippines trade accusations over provocations & conflict | Oneindia

The Philippines has vehemently denied accusations from China that it is provoking conflict in the disputed waters.

In a statement made by Medel Aguilar, the military spokesperson for the Philippines, he asserted that their actions are in compliance with international law and the enforcement of domestic regulations within their territorial waters and exclusive economic zone.

In response, the Chinese embassy in Manila accused the Philippines of causing tension by sending construction supplies to a grounded navy vessel in the disputed Second Thomas Shoal.

China warned that the Philippines, backed by external support, was challenging its principles and red lines.
