Manila, officially the City of Manila, is the capital and second-most populous city of the Philippines after Quezon City, with a population of 1,846,513 people in 2020. It is the most populous region in the country, one of the most populous urban areas in the world, and one of the wealthiest regions in Southeast Asia.
