Van-Tam departs Covid-19 inquiry after giving evidence
Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam departs after giving evidence to the Covid-19 Inquiry.
The former deputy chief medical officer said he received "extremely hateful messages" during the pandemic, including threats to his family about "having their throats cut".
He says the hate mail he received led to the police getting involved, making him consider stepping down from his role.
