Labour urges govt to ‘come clean’ over school safety fears

Labour has accused the Department for Education of being “in chaos and disarray” after it told more than 100 schools and colleges to partially or fully close buildings because of fears over concrete which could suddenly collapse.

Shadow Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson said: “The government has known for years there was a need for action.

They should come clean to parents, publish the full list of all of the schools affected and just get on with it.” Report by Buseld.
