Manipur incident: Main accused Huirem Heradas arrested by Manipur Police | Oneindia News

The main culprit who was a part of the mob which paraded women Naked and sexually assaulted them in Manipur, has been unmasked.

The man has been identified as 32-year-old Huirem Herodas Meitei.

Reports said that he is from Pechi Awang Leikai.

After an investigation of the viral video, Heradas was identified and soon arrested by Manipur police from Thoubal district.

Herodas was arrested early morning on Thursday in an operation by the Manipur Police.

Images shared by news agency ANI show the arrested accused wearing a green shirt, who is also spotted in the screengrab of the viral video.

A Manipur Police officer said that more people will be arrested in the coming hours.
