Chancellor forced to U-turn on tax cut after market chaos
Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has made an abrupt U-turn on his plans to scrap the top rate of income tax for the highest earners.
In his mini-budget two weeks ago, he announced that anyone earning over £150,000 would no longer pay the 45% rate.
