Shadow chancellor recalls Commons sexism during pregnancy

Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves has spoken of how she was told while pregnant that she should not be in the Cabinet because she "wouldn't be able to hold down a big job whilst also being a mum".

She added: "No one says that about male MPs, that someone can't be a dad and have a big job in politics, so this sexism and misogyny โ€ฆ it happens all the time." Report by Buseld.
