Officials realized something went wrong with Italy's vaccine rollout
Covid-19 has claimed the lives of more than 119,000 people in Italy, the highest number of deaths in the European Union, according to John Hopkins University.
Though the country started its vaccination program back in December, critics say regional authorities have failed to prioritize the elderly for vaccines.
