'One nation, one price' should be ensured for vaccines: Rajasthan Health Minister

Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma informed that when the state government reached out to the Serum Institute of India for vaccines, it was turned down.

He said that SII told the state government that no vaccines will be available till May 15 as they have to first fulfil orders placed by Government of India.

"Ahead of vaccination for those above 18 years of age from May 1, when we spoke to Serum Institute we were told by them that it may take them till May15 to fulfil orders placed by Govt of India, and they won't be able to deliver vaccines to Rajasthan before it," said Rajasthan Health Minister.

Commenting on the variation in prices of vaccines for states, central government, he said that 'One nation, One price' should be ensured.
