COVID: Remdesivir shortage triggers protest in Pune

Family members of COVID-19 patients protested outside District collector office by sitting on road demanding supply of Remdesivir injection for the patients.

The shortage of Remdesivir injection has created panic among the family members of the COVID-19 patients.

"My father is hospitalised for last 6 days, his medications haven't begun completely.

He's in ICU.

I've looked for Remdesivir in all cities," said a family member.

"Hospitals are saying we are not responsible for patient's condition otherwise they have to go on ventilators.

So, arrange the injection from outside.

We are not getting the injection as the black marketing for the injection is going on.

The helpline number provided by the administration for Remdesivir injection supply either does not connect or they end up providing some other helpline numbers, all are fake," said another family member.
