Watch: IAF chopper lifts water in bucket to douse forest fire in Uttarakhand
The Indian Air Force deployed a chopper for fire-fighting operation in Uttarakhand.
It carried out the operation in forests of Koti Colony area of Tehri Garhwal.
The water collected from Tehri lake was sprinkled with a 5000-litre capacity bucket.
The IAF has also sent another chopper for the fire-fighting operation.
Uttarakhand is witnessing unprecedented forest fires, officials informed.
Forest fire activity is generally reported in Uttarakhand from February to June.
Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat on Sunday called an emergency meeting.
Home Minister Amit shah assured all help to the Uttarakhand govt.
