Assam polls: 'You must vote wisely,' says former PM Manmohan Singh

Ahead of Assam Assembly elections today, former prime minister and Congress leader Manmohan Singh urged people of Assam to vote wisely.

Calling Assam his second home, Manmohan Singh said that it has been his privilege to represent Assam in Rajya Sabha for 28 years.

"I am deeply grateful for trust and affection, of the people of Assam.

The people of Assam, enabled me to serve our country as Finance Minister of India for 5 years and as Prime Minister of India for 10 years.

Today I am speaking as one of you, once again the time has come for you to cast your ballot in the Vidhan Sabha election, you must vote wisely," said former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
