From 'USA ruled India' to 'why not 20 kids': Uttarakhand CM's latest remarks

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat courted fresh controversy on March 21 while commenting on India's response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

While addressing an event in Ramnagar, the newly-anointed CM confused USA with UK while commenting on other countries' Covid situation.

He said that America had enslaved India for 200 years.

Rawat said that those who had more members in their family got more grains, leading to jealousy.

Days earlier, the BJP leader caused furore after questioning women who wear 'ripped jeans'.
