Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has issued a fresh warning to the Modi government over the farm laws.
Addressing a rally in Sikar, Rajasthan, Tikait said that farmers would now launch a fresh tractor rally to the Parliament.
‘This time the call will be for parliament gherao.
We will announce it and then march towards Delhi.
This time 40 lakh tractors will be there instead of four lakh tractor,’ Tikait said.
He appealed to the government to repeal the laws and make a law on MSP failing which they would plough the parks near India Gate and grow crops there as a mark of protest.
Farmers have been protesting against the Centre’s farm laws alleging that they will benefit corporate and harm the interests of farmers.
While the Centre has agreed to make amendments in the laws, the farmers have insisted on complete withdrawal of the laws.
