Uttarakhand: ITBP constructs bridge to connect villages cut off in disaster

ITBP troops constructed a ‘jhula bridge’ across disconnected villages in Uttarakhand's Chamoli.

This bridge will be used to transport ration from one side of it to another.

The death toll in Uttarakhand flash flood incident has mounted to at least 34.

The State Secretariat on Thursday informed that around 204 people are still missing.

A glacier broke in Tapovan-Reni area of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand on Sunday.

The glacier blast led to massive flooding in Dhauliganga and Alaknanda rivers.

The disaster also damaged several houses and the nearby Rishiganga power project.
