Badrinath covered in white sheet of snow, Shesh Netra Lake freezes partly

A white sheet of thick snow enveloped Uttarakhand's Badrinath.

Intense cold waves gripped water bodies, leading the Shesh Netra Lake to freeze in parts.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the portals of the Badrinath Temple in Chamoli district, one of the Char Dhams (four Hindu pilgrimage sites), is closed for the winter since November 19, 2020.
