Action news now reporter jafet serrato is live in chico...jafet when can parents send their c back to the classroom?
The reopening date for chico unified school district is scheduled for october 19th!
On wednesday night the board voted 4 to 1 to allow in person instruction as long as butte county was in the red tier.
Prior to this decision parents were given an option to return to campus or enroll into oak bridge academy... an online independent study program.
Some parents say they did not fill that survey because they say it did not give them a third option for distance learning from their child original school.
Voice of chico high parent?i here to ask you to realize the harm that you are doing in providing two options for family at this time.
Return to in person school when it not safe to do so.
And leave their beloved school.
Drop all of their classes and start with new classes at a new school?
Because of that concern... board did vote for a third option to be made for students who do not want to attend oak bridge academy.
The way the thid option would work is teachers will teach in person and through zoom for students who chose to remain online.
