12 miners trapped in southwest Pakistan after coal mine collapses

A body has been recovered from a flooded coal mine in the 3 Kilo area of Umrangso, where nine workers became trapped on January 6. Despite ongoing search and rescue efforts by teams, including a joint diving team and the Indian Navy deep divers, conditions remain harsh within the 300-foot-deep mine, significantly reducing chances of survival. The mine is believed to be illegal, and one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.
