Legendary actor Bob Newhart dies at 94. The actor and comedian was beloved across multiple generations for his roles in The Bob Newhart Show , Elf , The Big Bang Theory, and more. Over the course of his career Newhart earned multiple awards and accolades, including three Grammys, one Emmy, a Golden Globe, and an induction into the Television Hall of Fame in 1993. Newhart passed away on Thursday in Los Angeles after a series of short illnesses, according to his publicist Jerry Digney. He was 94 years old.
