Turkish president Erdogan seeks to curb the influence of Turkey's Constitutional Court after it ruled to free jailed opposition parliamentarian Can Atalay. The court's use of "individual applications" is a concern. The government is considering establishing a Turkish Human Rights Court.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday strongly criticised the Centre for keeping eyes closed on "misleading and false" advertisements by Patanjali Ayurved, co-owned by yoga guru Ramdev. "This is very unfortunate. The government will have to take some immediate action," the Apex Court said.
