Authorities announced on Sunday that the death toll from a devastating landslide in the southern Philippines has climbed to 54, with 63 individuals still unaccounted for. The landslide, triggered by weeks of relentless rains, struck the mountain village of Masara in Davao de Oro province on Tuesday night. The provincial government of Davao de Oro confirmed through a Facebook post that 54 bodies have been recovered thus far, while 32 residents sustained injuries and 63 individuals remain missing.
