On Sunday, North Korea's military conducted a missile launch off its eastern coast, directed towards the Sea of Japan, as reported by South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. The projectile, initially unidentified, was observed by Japan's Coast Guard, which characterised it as a potential ballistic missile that had fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.
