Police probe UK Post Office for accusing over 700 employees of theft. The culprit was an IT glitch

The Post Office Horizon scandal has been dubbed the most "widespread miscarriage of justice in British legal history". Now it has been made into a TV drama. ITV's ‘Mr Bates vs The Post Office’ tells the story of how hundreds of local post office branch managers were wrongly accused of theft, fraud and false accounting over a 15 year period.
