Amid heightened concerns about the escalating threat to shipping in a crucial global trade route, the White House issued a warning to Tehran, hinting at a potential response. Declassified intelligence information was cited as evidence, revealing the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen's reliance on "Iranian-provided monitoring systems" for launching attacks on commercial ships. Adrienne Watson, spokeswoman for the US National Security Council, stated on Friday, "We have concrete evidence that Iran was extensively involved in the planning of operations against commercial vessels in the Red Sea."
