China is set to send its youngest-ever crew of astronauts to the Tiangong space station this week. The crew, consisting of three astronauts with an average age of 38, will be led by Tang Hongbo. Expedition 63 Crew Launches to the International Space Station
Expedition 63 Soyuz Commander Anatoly Ivanishin of Roscosmos and Flight Engineers Ivan Vagner of Roscosmos and Chris Cassidy of NASA launched on the Russian Soyuz MS-16 spacecraft on April 9 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to begin a six-hour journey to the International Space Station and the start of a six-month mission on the outpost. The footage contains the crewโ€™s prelaunch activities that included their departure from their Cosmonaut Hotel crew quarters, their suit-up in the Cosmodromeโ€™s Integration Facility, walk out to their crew bus and arrival at the launch pad to board their spacecraft.
