EU's Breton gives TikTok 24 hrs to set out disinformation action

EU industry chief Thierry Breton has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to TikTok, demanding that the platform provide detailed information about the measures it has taken to combat the spread of disinformation on its short video app, particularly in the wake of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas' attack on Israel.
