Ukraine launched a missile attack on the headquarters of Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, leaving one serviceman missing and causing damage to the building. Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014, has been a target for Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

Ukraine’s special forces said that the commander of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, and 33 other officers were killed in a Ukrainian missile attack on the fleet’s headquarters in the Crimean port of Sevastopol last week. The killing, if true, is a major blow for Moscow which has faced several attacks on the strategically significant port of Sevastopol in recent months.
