Heavy security in Iran on Mahsa Amini death anniversary -rights groups, witnesses

A human rights group has said that in Iran, the father of Mahsa Amini was briefly detained by the country’s security forces on Saturday on the first anniversary of her death. The Kurdistan Human Rights Network said and I quote, “Security forces detained Amjad Amini today and returned him to his house after threatening him against marking his daughter’s death anniversary.” It came as Iranian security forces were deployed in the home town of Mahsa Amini in anticipation of unrest as many across the country prepared to mark the first anniversary of her death in police custody. #MahsaAmini #MahsaAminiAnniversary #Iran ~PR.151~ED.103~HT.96~GR.124~
