US Capitol police searches Senate buildings, issues Shelter-In-Place order after unconfirmed reports of active shooter

Following an emergency call regarding the presence of an active shooter in the US Capitol on Wednesday, the Capitol Police have urged the people to take 'Shelter-In-Place' as the investigation continues. According to the police, they continue to stay in touch with the people there.

U.S. Capitol Police have ordered a shelter in place at several buildings in Washington Wednesday as local authorities search for a possible active shooter. Local law enforcement received a call at 2:30 p.m. reporting an active shooter at the Capitol, with no further elaboration. The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department has not confirmed any injuries or sightings of the alleged shooter.
