Mpox's new strain Clade 1b is spreading fast

In view of the surge of monkeypox cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in several countries, the World Health Organisation (WHO) had declared monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) on August 14; this is the highest warning issued by the WHO regarding any outbreak.
