According to IMD, Sikkim is projected to have isolated heavy rainfall over the next two to three days after northeast India experiences severe rains. Additionally, the weather service forecasted heavy downpours till Sunday across Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Bihar.

and businesses have been left without
power across parts of Michigan and Ohio. .

The National Weather Service Offices in Detroit and
Grand Rapids said that an "extremely dangerous"
tornado was confirmed near Williamston, Michigan.
Michigan State Police Lt. Rene Gonzalez said that
stormy conditions resulted in several overturned
vehicles and minor injuries on Interstate 96. .
According to PowerOutage.us, 400,000 people
in southern Michigan and 300,000 people in
Ohio were left without power.
CNN reports that Detroit experienced
wind gusts of 70 mph on the evening of August 24.
The powerful storms came shortly after the region
received heavy rainfall the morning of August 24,
with as much as seven to eight inches in some areas. .
The torrential rain halted incoming flights at the Detroit
Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, while flooding led
to closures on roadways that have since reopened. .
