Manipur incident unfortunate but what happened in West Bengal more so: Dharmendra Pradhan

After the Manipur video shook the country, another deeply distressing video emerged purportedly from West Bengal’s Malda. The video shows two women being beaten and paraded half-naked. According to initial reports, the incident occurred tentatively three to four days ago. Local people in Malda’s Pakuahat had caught the two women on suspicion of theft and thrashed them. The purported video showed several women assaulting the two accused women. However, no complaint about the incident was lodged with the West Bengal Police.
