The legendary artist also served as the frontman for 80's band 'Big Black,' as well as 'Shellac,' who is set to release their first album in a decade next week. Thompson was the last surviving member of the band and the only one to see their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which took place just weeks ago.
