India has approved its biggest-ever defense deal, worth $7.3 billion, to procure 156 Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) for the Indian Army and Air Force.
These helicopters, developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), are equipped to operate in extreme conditions, making them ideal for deployment in sensitive areas like the Siachen glacier and Eastern Ladakh.
With advanced features such as the ability to take off and land at altitudes of 5,000 meters, these helicopters will significantly enhance India's military capabilities in the face of regional threats, particularly from China and Pakistan.
