Treasury minister: Let's judge Putin on actions not words

A shadow Treasury minister has cautiously welcomed the ceasefire in the Black Sea between Russia and Ukraine, saying President Vladimir Putin should be judged on his actions rather than his words.

On the leaked White House Signal messages criticising Europe, James Wild adds, "it's a fair challenge" to call on Europe to increase defence spending but adds, "I wouldn't use that language".
