China Russia To Defend WWII History, Reject Revisionism, Uphold UN-Backed World Order, Says Beijing

China and Russia will continue promoting the “correct view” of World War II history, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

He emphasized both nations' sacrifices in defeating fascism and vowed to defend the global order led by the UN.

Wang hailed China-Russia ties as “tenacious” and not influenced by external forces.

With the 80th anniversary of WWII’s end approaching in 2025, Beijing and Moscow aim to counter historical distortions.

Russia has criticized the West’s alleged attempts to rewrite history, particularly regarding the Soviet Union’s role in Nazi Germany’s defeat.
