Bridge Collapse In South Korea Kills 2, Injures 5 At Expressway Site, Rescue Operation Underway

A tragic bridge collapse in South Korea has left two dead and five injured at an expressway construction site in Anseong.

The incident, which occurred around 9:50 am, was captured in dramatic footage showing a massive section of the bridge falling.

Authorities are searching for three missing people trapped under the debris, while the injured have been rushed to hospitals.

Acting President Choi Sang-mok has ordered full-scale rescue efforts.

According to Seoul's labour ministry, over 8,000 work-related deaths occurred in South Korea from 2020 to 2023.
