State schools to get boost as private school tax break ends

State schools will get “every penny” of extra funding from ending the VAT tax break on private school fees, which comes into effect from the 1 January 2025.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves defended the move she had announced in her Autumn budget saying that every child deserved the best start in life.
