Mount Hermon Under Israeli Control? IDF Tanks and Troops Penetrate Deep into Syria’s Quneitra

Israeli forces have reportedly taken control of Mount Hermon’s peak, establishing a new military position overlooking Damascus' southwestern countryside.

According to local sources cited by Al Mayadeen, the IDF has been combing the entire peak, seizing military equipment and the wreckage of an Israeli helicopter downed during the 1973 October War.

Simultaneously, Israeli tanks and armored patrols have advanced into Syria’s Quneitra countryside, infiltrating the al-Hamidiyah axis toward al-Baath.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces have targeted homes and farms in central Quneitra villages while indiscriminately firing on the al-Hamidiyah and al-Hurriya forests.
