50,000-Year-Old Mammoth Recovered From Siberian Permafrost

The Siberian permafrost is thawing, and while that’s a huge indicator to the results of global warming, this is the 3rd time this year that researchers have made historic zoological discoveries in the area.

This juvenile mammoth, found on Dec 23, is estimated to be more than 50,000 years old.
