One man dies as Palestinian security forces clash with opposition militants in Jenin

Gunfire is heard as Palestinian security forces operate in the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin and around its refugee camp.

One man has been killed and several wounded.

Militant group Hamas claim the deceased was "resistance fighter" Yazid Jaaysa.

Clashes have erupted in the area since men seized two vehicles from the Palestinian Authority (PA) and paraded them in the camp waving flags of the Islamic Jihad group.

Tensions have been running high in the West Bank after the PA arrested several militants earlier this month.
